A fun, flirty and alluring romantic comedy with added sugar and spice…

I’m so so happy… yeeeeeeep… I think I may be obsessed with this new Kindle Worlds series. I remember doing an over-hyped jig when I got the news that Kendall Ryan was bringing in some of her amazing author buddies and giving them a carte blanche in her Imperfect Love world. Let me start off by saying that you don’t have to be acquainted with the series that started it all, although, I can’t recommend it enough. All of the books in this Kindle World are standalones and they are just divine…

My entire game plan is out the window. I didn’t expect her to be pissy, aggressive, or hot.

I’m not even going to hide the fact that I am a raving Adriana Locke and Kendall Ryan fan. Just the news of them working together was enough to make my heart leap. I haven’t read anything by these two that I haven’t quite simply ADORED. And, Battle of the Sexes (BOTS) definitely lives up to my every expectation from them. So, although BOTS takes place within Kendall Ryan’s Imperfect Love world, it is solely written by Adriana Locke. Think of it as a whole new and delightful level of fan-fiction. That’s right, even revered authors like to engage in a little fan-fiction… AND, aren’t we just lucky that they want to share it?!?

I don’t like you… I won’t like you. And… if you get in my way, I will make you pay.

Battle of the Sexes is a short read. It took my under three hours to quite literally devour it from beginning to end. It’s probably one of the things that I really loved about this book – and indeed this world. BOTS makes for the most perfect summer/ holiday read. Its plot is fresh and vibrant. It’s so beautifully developed that actually it reads like a brilliant full length novel. There’s no over the top overwhelming drama, but there is a perfect bubbling simmer all the way through. It’s actually a rather clever plot that is executed with supreme savvy. It’s every bit as hot as you’d expect it to be— let’s face it, if Adriana Locke’s name is on it… you know it’s going to leave you scorching, wet and divinely satisfied.

Tonight, trust me. Trust me enough to put yourself in my hands and let me show you how I feel.

The characters I could not get enough of. Carver and Amity are just something so freaking special. They’re one in the same, they have great banter and their chemistry will break a thermometer. Both male and female leads are strong and sturdy within themselves, yes there are some hang-ups, but nothing sinister and heavy. The fact that they already have a somewhat of a past “relationship” makes this an even more enthralling read. I loved that they had that childhood history binding them and that it was so easy to get familiarised with both of them at the same time. Carver is sexy and sweet, yet he has this ego and confidence that is just enough to make your knees weak and your knickers wet. He’s not some twat that has his head in the clouds and thinks he’s God’s gift to women, even though he REALLY is. No, definitely not pompous and self-righteous. Probably why I could not get enough of him. Amity, again is very easy to get to know and she has a real female empowering aura about her. I loved that although she’s strong, capable, intelligent and successful – she’s not some big headed, egotistical… pretentious, too big for her boots character that needs to be brought down a peg or two. In fact, she’s quite the opposite. Basically, both of these characters are just geniously thought out and developed!

How does that feel? I don’t mean it sexually. I mean, are you happy?

Quite frankly, I could’ve had more and more and more of this plot and these characters and it would never be enough. Battle of the Sexes really is a must-read. To be honest, anyone that does not go out of their way to enjoy this book has got to be out of their frigging mind!

Let me show you something tonight…

About the Book

Carver Jones’ partner at Jones + Gallum had to step down for medical reasons. He’s absolutely devastated. He swears. Just ignore his cheeky grin, okay?

When word reaches his fancy corner office that Gallum is replacing himself with his daughter, Amity, Carver is ecstatic.

For real this time.

Jones squashes men in the business industry flat. A woman? Pfst. He’ll be completely in charge in no time, doing whatever he wants. He’s so ready for this.

But is he ready to fight the hardest fight of his life? No, not the one to maintain control of his company. The one to keep control of his heart.

The battle may begin in the boardroom, but the war will definitely be won in the bedroom. May the best sex win.
