A sublime love story with a difference and a twist…
I’m a blurb and cover shopper. It’s quite embarrassing really because if the cover doesn’t live up to the blurb, I’m like MEH. So, when I got the advanced copy of The Wright Brother, I was so so happy that the cover was as sexy as the blurb read. But what got me really wet about this book was how beautifully it read. It just flowed like silk on skin. I have a little confession, I’ve never actually read anything by Kyla Linde. This makes me sad because her writing is just so pleasurable. From the way that she gets straight into the story to the development of it.
‘It felt like more than just sex. More than just fucking. It was deep and personal. He had touched my soul. Devoured my heart. And brought us both back to life. Jensen Wright had rewritten my world.’
Both Emery and Jensen are likeable characters from the off. Jensen is broody, sexy and serious – but at the same time he is so captivating and charming. He’s been thrust into the role of “head of the family” and he’s had quite a heartbreaking path in life that has made him distrust others. I really just want to give him a cuddle… and so much more. He is one of those characters you just can’t help but hate whoever crosses them. I love him SO much… soooooooooooooo bloody much. There’s just something so real and empathise-able about him. Obviously it helps that his confidence is sexy as hell and that he fucks like a champ… oh the dirty things that my mind’s eye saw… if I had a laundry maid, I’d pity her! What makes Jensen so special though, is his ability to shine a light on his leading lady. Emery is an incredible character, She has a pretty shit ride when it comes to her love life but she is never this owe is me and my life. She’s kick arse and no-nonsense. I love that she’s not wet behind the ears and that she fights for what she wants. That is what makes this story so beautiful. It’s not a one sided fight for love. Both of them saddle up and joust, they get dirty for each other and they don’t take prisoners.
‘I stopped breathing. Fuck, I had made out with that face.’
I feel like Linde has created two epic characters. What’s more, I love that her storyline is far from predictable. It’s path has twists and turns that surprise and grip the reader. From the moment you feast your eyes on the story you cannot help but keep turning those pages so quick your fingers get RSI (repetitive strain injury)! I just couldn’t put this book down. The Wright Brother really is a testament to Kyla Linde. It’s so so so steamy. It will make you drool, it will make your mind wonder and make your body respond to every interaction between Jensen and Emery. But the funniest thing is that the sex isn’t even kinky… it’s just HOT. Like super hot. Jensen has game!
‘I’d like nothing more than to fuck you, Emery.’
I honestly cannot wait for the next book in the series. If the story is as beautifully developed and explored as this, it’ll be a winner – if the characters are as incredible as Jensen and Emery, it’ll be amazing – if it is as HOT and sultry as this, it’ll be a MUST READ! I cannot wait for The Wright Boss. However, whilst I am waiting – I may just have to re-read this beaut!
‘I was done, I was… totally fucked … Utterly and completely fucked.’
The Wright Brother is out now!!!
About the Book
I’d dated his brother.
He didn’t remember and I wish I could forget.
I may have sworn off the Wright family a long time ago. But when I returned home, Jensen Wright crashed into my life with the confidence of a billionaire CEO and the sex appeal of a god. Even I couldn’t resist our charged chemistry, or the way he fit into my life like a missing puzzle piece.
Too bad he’d forgotten the one thing that could destroy us.
Because Jensen Wright doesn’t share. Not with anyone. And if his brother finds out, this could all go down in flames.
When it all was said and done, was he the Wright brother?
