A sultry, sweet and alluring love story that’s pantie-dropping and butterfly inducing sexy…

I’ve heard lots of good things of Layla Hagen, and in reality she’s been on my TBR (to be read) list for yonks – it’s a looooooooooooong, LONG list. So when Your Tempting Love arrived in my inbox I was really keen and excited to get started on it. Turns out that I was right about being excited because it was such a beautiful, light and heartwarming read. This is actually the 5th book in the Bennett Family Series, which is made up of standalone love stories. If like me you haven’t read any of the preceding books, it won’t affect your understanding of Layla Hagen’s characters or your enjoyment of her story – if anything it’ll just make you want to get involved with the rest of the series!

‘It’s the most fun I’ve had in a while…’

Your Tempting Love tells Christopher’s and Victoria’s story. Among the romantic theme of it, this book actually tackles some really sensitive topics such as death, grief, adoption and family integration. How Hagen has managed to keep this book so light is beyond me – I guess that’s how her talent is showcased. Christopher is such an unusual alpha male; on one hand he’s sexy, commanding and fierce and on the other he’s soft, funny and laid-back. He’s got real dimension to him and to top it off he’s not one of those exuberantly arrogant alpha males that undergoes this dramatic personality overhaul. You can’t help but love him from the very first page. Likewise Victoria is a leading lady that you cannot help but love and admire. She’s strong, feisty and alluring as well as being nurturing, loving and truly empathetic. In so many books the hero and heroine are two polar opposites that balance each other out eventually, however Christopher and Victoria are already so well balanced out individually that it’s not a case of them needing each other fix their flaws. If that makes sense?

‘You have no say when the people who will become your whole world walk into your life. But it sure as hell is up to me not to let them walk back out.’

With such well rounded standalone characters Layla Hagen has the ability to concentrate on the story development – and you can tell just how well developed this story is. I mean Hagen can take you from giddy and aroused to teary and heartbroken with nothing but a look or touch. She is so cunning in her ability to make you feel. There is no way you can make it through this story without shedding a tear or two. There’s also no way you’ll make it through the story without falling in love with Chloe, Lucas and Sienna (Victoria’s orphan siblings). In total honesty, with every page I turned the more Hagen’s story reminded me of Saving Helen – the film with Kate Hudson and John Corbett.

‘He’d know exactly how to touch me to send me over the edge, exactly how to kiss me to make me want more of him.’

One of the things I love most about Christopher is his unabashed, cheeky and brazen interactions with Victoria. And their innuendo filled banter that leaves you digging your nails into your palms and your feet doing the heel to toe shuffle. Their chemistry is palpable from page one and it only increases to the point of combustion. This is one hot duo. The sex is all sorts of  jaw dropping, pantie moistening incredible – but pair it with the banter and it’s scorching. Hagen has this ability to write sex in a way that feels as though you are partaking – like you’re experiencing it and it does all sorts of crazy things to your libido. The funny thing is that it’s not even the most explicit out there, it’s just so well written and so well ingrained in the story that it’s not just sex – it’s an emotion.

‘The way you look at me… The way you push yourself against me… The way your body responds to my touch…’

Your Tempting Love is one of those books that you just can’t put down. It captivates you and entrances you from beginning to end. I hope that we see more of Victoria and Christopher in the following books like you see of Pippa and Sebastian in this. Layla Hagen has me under her spell, the only thing I want to do is read the rest of this series.

‘…I didn’t even get to the good part…’

About the Book

Christopher Bennett is a persuasive man. With his magnetic charm and undeniable wit, he plays a key role in the international success of his family’s company.

Christopher adores his family, even if they can be too meddling sometimes… like when they recommend him to employ Victoria Hensley’s decorating services for his new apartment in an attempt to set him up with her. Christopher isn’t looking to settle down, but meeting Victoria turns his world upside down. Her laughter is contagious, and her beautiful lips and curves are too tempting.

Victoria Hensley is determined not to fall under Christopher’s spell, even though the man is hotter than sin, and his flirty banter makes her toes curl. But Christopher is her client, and she knows better than to get involved with clients. Besides, Victoria isn’t looking for love. After her parents’ death, Victoria is raising her much younger siblings, and she can’t afford any mistakes.

But Victoria and Christopher’s chemistry is not just the sparks-flying kind, but the downright explosive kind. Before she knows it, Christopher is training her brother Lucas for soccer tryouts and reading bedtime stories to her sister Chloe.

Victoria wants to resist him, but Christopher is determined, stubborn, and oh-so-persuasive.

When their attraction and connection both spiral out of control, will they be able to risk it all for a love that is far too tempting?
