We didn’t get to bed till the early hours of the morning, and Jasper has somehow managed to lose his sleeping pattern the last few weeks – so he always ends up in our bed. I’m not sure why this has happened – maybe it’s because he’s teething again (his canines are coming through at the moment) or because he can sense that change is coming… this is driving me so crazy that I’ve been an emotional mess due to lack of sleep and hormones and I’ve even began telling myself that it has something to do with breast milk being best at night and he can somehow sense it… I don’t know. All I do know – is I need sleep. I am rubbish at coping with little to no sleep, so much so, that Kayne has voluntarily taken over night duties with Jasper pretty much since the beginning of this pregnancy. Thank heavens!

Anyway, when I woke up this morning I decided that today I was going to start my pre-labour work-out plan. You can find my post on it here. Baring in mind that I am atrocious at sticking to anything related to keeping fit, I am trying my very best to push myself – even if i do want a little extra time in bed, or if Jasper has already had me running around ragged. I am making a point to myself, and Kayne, that I can stick to this. Firstly, because I want an easier birthing experience to my last and secondly, because I want to get back in shape… somewhere close to where I was pre Jasper.  I am extremely proud of myself because I did it. I got up, got dressed and got on with it! Woohoo! Let me tell you: it felt GREAT! I even managed to make breakfast before Kayne and Jasper were ready.

By 10am Jasper and I were out of the house and on the way to see Nanny and Granddad Brennan – unsurprisingly this is Jasper’s highlight of the week. He gets to play with his youngest cousin and he gets to do whatever he likes because it seems that rules go out of the window at both sets of grandparents’ houses. This gave me my extra 20 minute walk to add to my morning work-out, I got my Starbucks fix, and some much needed vitamin D.

When I got home however, I was greeted with a parcel adressed to myself and the family… when I saw that it was from my best-friend, it made me smile so bright that my cheeks complained! I love Rose, we don’t live close enough, in my opinion, but we’re always on the same page about what’s going on in each other’s lives. I think about her at least once everyday and we’ll touch base regularly. Anyway, I was so excited that I ripped through the parcel paper and then through the bright pink wrapping paper to find this…

How cute are these little Peter Rabbit rattle booties? I love them so much! The funny thing is that we were looking to redecorate the nursery in a Peter Rabbit theme to suit both Jasper and Phoebe… Now, I want to do it even more! If there ever was a sign….

Thank you so much Rose…. you made my day!

Maybe I should stick to this exercise routine and see what other goodies the postman brings!!!
